As a “Hamburger Deern”, I was born and raised here in Hamburg. I love the water and enjoy spending time on Hamburg’s Elbe, but I also find trips to the North Sea and Baltic Sea a balm for the soul.
There were ups and downs in my life too. Sometimes it wasn’t easy and the more I struggled, the more everything slipped away from me. I had to understand a lot of what was happening in my life in context before I could change things.
I felt like I was swimming, I felt helpless, lonely and worried about sinking under the weight.
But then many things changed and I picked up speed. My husband and I became parents to two wonderful children who enrich our lives and turn them upside down in equal measure. I decided to try and do something that would also fulfill me professionally. So I studied and became a non-medical practitioner for psychotherapy.
In order to be able to really support people on their path, I completed a two-year course in integrative psychotherapy (IPT). I am currently doing further training in ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) which is part of the behavioural therapy.
I am very proud to have taken this path and I am lucky to have a job that really fulfills me.
